Happy Friday! The biggest album release this week is from British rockers the Arctic Monkeys. Unlike most artists these days who release 3-4 songs prior to dropping the album, the Monkeys declined to release any singles leading up to the new LP, so today is everyone’s first chance to listen to studio versions of all the tracks. Two other interesting releases are the new album from surf-rock group La Luz, and an acoustic album from punk veterans Strung Out.
In singles, one of my favorites, Lucero, have released a new song from their upcoming album. There’s also the first single in years from Dave Matthews Band (a track that has apparently been a live staple for a while), a poppy new single from John Mayer, the new jam from Childish Gambino that all of you have already seen the crazy video for, a new song from Japanese pop-metal ladies BABYMETAL, two new tracks from folk-rockers Dawes, and a whole lot more.
Check them all out below!
