Formed in Leeds, UK, Jake & The Jellyfish started off in a similar fashion to Against Me!; initially a folk punk solo act, the lead singer gathered a band around him to take their brand of socially conscious, heart-on-your-sleeve punk rock on tour to share their tunes with friends and audiences across Europe.
Their latest single from new album Long in Winters “Reading List” is about learning how to deal with change, and perfectly melds personal and universal themes. As Jake sings “Does this come natural, does it come with time”, he’s accompanied by anthemic guitars and rousing drums to form a perfect piece of ragged punk rock.
