New Music Friday Playlist – June 14, 2019
We’re officially in the thick of summer, and the music gods have graced us with the first perfect summer road trip album with Bruce Springsteen‘s latest opus. It’s getting critical raves, so it should definitely be on your radars. You’ll also likely be inclined to hear the latest album from alt. pop superstars Bastille and the latest folky collaboration between Iron & Wine and Calexico. Also be sure to listen to the new albums from recent Check This artists Bad Books and Los Coast.
There’s two noteworthy EPs out today – one from emocore rockers Thrice, and the debut release from indie due Catacomb Saints.
In singles, indie darling Julien Baker has released two new songs, have had punks The Menzingers. Jesse Malin has another new track out, this one featuring Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong. Past Check This artist More Giraffes have a new one, as does underground R&B star Joji, and Marshmello has a new collaboration with emo-core veterans A Day to Remember. Will be interesting to see if that one can break out as big as “Happier” did.
Go listen to some new songs and follow our playlist at the top of the page.
