New Music Friday – September 4, 2020

September and Labor Day Weekend are here. Fall is here. This damned year is getting closer to being over. We first want to send our best wishes to Toots Hibbert (Toots and the Maytals) who is battling Covid-19. His new album Got to Be Tough came out just last week, and you should listen to it to help send Toots positive vibes.

Speaking of positive vibes, that’s exactly what the new compilation The House That Bradley Built hopes to send out. Featuring a collection of Sublime covers from a slew of great bands (O.A.R., Pepper, LBDA to name a few) as well as rare tracks from groups like Descendents. The album is a fundraiser for the Nowell Family Foundation’s opioid addiction rehabilitation center called “Bradley’s House”, so take a listen and help support the excellent cause.

In songs this week, there’s another new one from The Struts, featuring one of the UK’s favorite pop artists, Robbie Williams. Corey Taylor has the latest song from his upcoming solo album, Touche Amore have the second new song from their upcoming new one and Bring Me the Horizon have released their collaboration with Yungblud.

Some tracks that will keep the summer vibes going are new ones from Trevor Hall, Dirty Heads and American Authors. If you’re looking for tunes with more vibe, try out the latest tracks from Fat Tony, Aloe Blacc and Joyner Lucas‘ new jam with Ashanti. And if you’re in the mood for some modern pop, we have the latest tracks from Finneas, Gus Dapperton, AJR and Dagny.

And since it’s a lighter day on the album side, we suggest listening to the deluxe reissue of The Rolling StonesGoat Head Soup, featuring unreleased tracks and some very cool remixes.

Check all these out in our New Music Friday Playlist!
