It’s rare that you watch a music video that just makes you feel good about the world, but Witch Prophet‘s new visual for “Tesfay” manages to do just that. The jazz-infused R&B that translates to “my hope” is inspired by grandfather, who raised his five girls alone after the passing of her grandmother.
Following testimonials from five girls sharing their admiration and love for their father, the video then focus on the father performing hypnotic choreographed dances with one of his daughters in scenic countryside locations. Even while the song’s horn filled melodies generate a moody atmosphere, the imagery of the father and daughters expressing their bonds through dance creates an infectious and moving positive energy.
