So what do we have in store for us this New Music Friday? First, we have the latest album from Australian guitar wunderkind Tash Sultana. Her new tracks have been going in a psychedelic direction (cover art included) so may be a new direction for the artist. Next, Minneapolis rockers The Hold Steady have their new collection of smart and salty punk rock, and English troubadour David Gray has a new collection of melodic, singer-songwriter style tunes. Finally, we’re going to give a listen to the latest from rapper Trippie Redd, who’s new album features some major features and some major work by Travis Barker.
Joining Tash are fellow Australians Crowded House, with their first new songs in over a decade, and Amy Shark, with a new country-tinged single featuring Keith Urban. AJR have dropped the next pop-savvy snack from their upcoming LP, and if you want some harder rock, Andrew W.K. has dropped a banger, and Senses Fail latest is a screed against the late Rush Limbaugh. Indie rock trio Wallows have a new single out following the success of their recent releases, and Dessa has the next single in her Ides series for us.
There’s also new tunes from Lord Huron, Eve 6, 24kGoldn, Mike Shinoda, The Strumbellas, Durand Jones & the Indications, and more!
