Happy New Music Friday! We’re coming to you today with an interesting mix of sounds to take you through Grammy weekend!
Folk/Soul empress Valerie June is back with her latest album which should provide some feel good vibes for you. And a great complement to that album would be the new one from adult pop band Lake Street Dive. If you need something a little more high energy, then you’re in luck as alt rock band Grouplove have dropped a surprise new album.
Preparing for the Grammys, multiple-nominee Phoebe Bridgers has released an exclusive single on Spotify, containing a John Prine cover, and a version of “Kyoto” featuring Jackson Browne. Phoebe’s boygenius bandmate Lucy Dacus has a new single out as well. Another huge act with new music today is Imagine Dragons, with their first new songs in years.
Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun are buds in real life, and both are dropping new tunes today, with MS’s featuring their third friend and frequent collaborator Blackbear. The Wrecks have a new rocker for us, and songwriter extraordinaire LP is back with a pop gem. Alt. pop duo Matt and Kim are back with a shiny new one, and we’ve got two tracks from Junkie XL from his score to Godzilla Vs Kong.
Some of the new and rising artists we’re featuring today are ska band Joystick!, synth rock group The Silk War, alt R&B artist Foushee, and bands The Spins, Dad Bod, and This Wild Life.
