New Music Friday: April 22, 2022

We hope all of you had a great Easter and Passover last week! If you filled up on chocolate eggs and are still on a sugar high, we’ve got some music you can dance and rock off that excess energy with. First we have the debut album from one of our favorite up-and-coming Los Angeles rockers Kate Clover, who is a blast to see in concert. Pop-punk goofballs Bowling for Soup have returned with a new album of catchy bops, and Irish post-punks Fontains D.C. are back with a new one, following their Grammy-nominated last album. You should all also check out the new one from Charlotte Rose Benjamin (read our review of it here) and the very chill new album from Sticky Fingers!

In songs, one of our favorite Canadian songwriters Dan Mangan is back with a touching tribute to the late Scott Hutchinson. Indie rocker Bartees Strange has his second single from his next album, and Florence + The Machine are dropping their fourth song from their next album.

Blues/Funk savant G. Love has a new jam out that will please his loyal followers, and we have the second new song from stadium rockers Def Leppard‘s next album. Indie pop band Dreamers are back with their latest single, and Young Guv have not taken any breaks, releasing a new single after already releasing an album earlier this year!

Also making returns this week are Heart of Gold, Bob Marston & The Credible Sources, One Armed Joey and The Wonder Years. Artists getting their first spins on our playlist this week are Pollyanna, Maddie Glass, Les Cooper, Viagra Boys, John Jody, Citizen, Art More, London Plane, Yanni, A Vulture Wake, Snuff, American Thrills and Los Saints.

Start listening to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple!
