How are all of you doing this week? Things are tough out there, so hopefully some new music will bring some joy to your day. Maybe you’ll appreciate the literary songwriting talent of The Hold Steady‘s Craig Finn on his latest solo effort, or the effortless power pop rock of Blake Morgan (read our review of his album here). Maybe you can use the melodies of Adult Contemporary emperors Train, or the folksy, bluesy stomp of the Delta Spirit and Banditos?

New singles like the one from Jukebox The Ghost or Matt Maeson could hit the right notes for you, or maybe the darker tone of the new Thrice and Yours Truly, or emotional acoustic track from Pollyanna? John Doe‘s folk punk stylings can certainly take you to a different place, so to can the indie art rock of Tidal Wave.
Gutter punks Manhattan Murder Mystery are back with their first new single in five years, and AlexisonFire‘s latest is a moody masterpiece. Metric‘s new one also brings some beauty to the gloom, while She & Him‘s new Brian Wilson cover is all sunshine. There are two new ones from Joe Hicks, and some solid bangers from Coheed & Cambria and The Wonder Years.
And if you like discovering new acts, then you can find a bunch here today, like The Early Mays, AJ Wander, Quinn Christopherson, The Man Who, Kirstie Fleur, Whitney Lockert, Burn the Louvre, Aquakultre, Wildes, Jenny Berkel and Deco.
As always, you can listen to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
