New Music Friday – August 5, 2022

We are now in the last month of summer, but things are still burning hot on the music front. The first thing lighting up our playlist this week is the latest album by ska-punk group The Interrupters. We’ve loved this band a while, and it’s great to see how they’ve grown with this latest release. Next, we have past Bad Ass Break-Outs artist Mercy Union and Lee Bains & The Glory Fires with new full-lengths out. The finally we have punk group The Flatliners, who’s new one should be great based on the singles we’ve heard. And if you read our review of it yesterday, you will know the Heavy Gus album is out today and worth listening to.

Never taking a break, The Killers are back with the first single from their next album. Also making a return are emo/pop-punk veterans The Early November with a new single. The 1975 have the second new single from their next album, and Bad Suns have released a collaboration with Pvris. We’ve got new Mountain Goats, Panda Bear, Ryan Adams and Spielbergs music to enjoy as well.

South African group Beatenberg have another breezy track for us, while Eichlers bring us some more hyper-ska. Samantha & Melia Franks have their latest with us, and if you need some rap/hip-hop inspired music, there’s new ones from Eminem, blackbear, Joey Valence + Brae and Skizzy Mars.

Some of the newer artists we want to introduce you to this week are Will Sheff, Bar Stool Preachers, Heartracer, Atta Boy, Rebel Kicks, lund and Matthew J. Rolin.

Listen to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
