New Music Friday: February 17, 2023

I hope you all had a love-filled Valentines Day, whether you were with a significant other or not! We want to share our love for some of the new music that came out this week that we hope you’ll love as well!

While most of the press on Inhaler mentions that the lead singer is the son of U2′s Bono, this band has hustled and gained a following completely on their own talents and merit, and today they welcome their sophomore album into the world. I don’t even know what number album this is for P!nk, but as she’s always giving every aspect of her career her all, it won’t be a surprise if the album is good. Indie rockers Joker’s Hand and Girl Scout have their new EPs out, and finally, one of Canada’s favorite daughters Feist is back with a three-song EP!

Janelle Monae has spent most of the last five years glowing up the big screen, but the multi-talented artist is finally back with a new single today with (hopefully) a new album to follow. Also returning after a long time away is the piano rocker Ben Folds, who’s thoughtful and humorous songwriting is always welcome. Lana Del Rey and Beabadoobee‘s new singles dropped this week and both are already climbing the Spotify charts, and fresh off some new RIAA single certifications, All Time Low has dropped the latest track from their next album.

With the announcement that they’ll be joining Yellowcard‘s national reunion tour, Story of the Year have a nostalgic new track out, and recent Check This artist Wilder Woods has a new track from his next release out. Fidlar continue their hard rock streak with their latest song, and The Used have a new rager. Other artists making a return to our list this week are Ryan Hamilton, The National Parks, Divided Heaven, The Lemon Twigs, Black Thought, TV Star, Phoneboy, Neck Deep, Joy Oladokun, Dave Hause and Dead Alright.

Spending their first weeks on our playlist this week are Withered Hand, Sweet Imperfections, Confusionaires, Ace of Wands, Magnetic Skies, Dub Pistols, Kayam, Eden Rain, dragonchild, Gabrielle Grace, ThxSoMch and The Now.
