I’ve been a fan of The Federal Empire since discovering their music back in 2018. The duo comprised of Chad Wolf (frontman of multi-platinum alt rock band Carolina Liar) and McKay Stevens (songwriter for acts like Martin Garrix, Sam Feldt & more) create an unbelievable catchy brand of folksy, electronic-tinged alternative rock that shines with tongue-in-cheek humor and perfect singalong gang vocals.
Following an album released on major label Sumerian Records, the duo are back as independent musicians, and seem to be having a blast. With the recent release of their new single “Hate You Too”, Chad and McKay joined me over a google hangout to discuss the new music, their major label experience, and a whole lot more.
