I don’t know about you, but this year has already worn me down. I’m very ready for a vacation (which I’m taking at the end of the month). But don’t you worry – even while away, New Music Friday will continue just as it does today.
With today’s NMF, we’re recommending you check out the latest albums from indie pop chanteuse Japanese Breakfast, psychedelic-tinged alternative from My Morning Jacket (read our review of it here), theatrical rock from Foxy Shazam, and righteous folk punk from Shauna Dean Cokeland (who impressed me with her performance opening for Rare Americans). We also have a new EP from teen singer-songwriter Cloe Wilder.
UK punk Yungblud has announced his new era with a nearly ten-minute new single. Hard rockers Buckcherry have coming “roaring” back with a new single, and one of our favorite indie bands, Fang Fang, have put out a new track. The Kilograms have shared the fourth song from their upcoming album, while De’Wayne has smashed out a great second single from his next release.
The great Nigerian Afrobeat artist Femi Kuti has shared the third single from his upcoming album, while the legendary Zambian band Witch is back with a new psychedelic jam. MGK has dropped a moving tribute to a departed friend.
