2025’s pop-punk renaissance continues with Yellowcard releasing their reunion LP, which will be a smash. Another great one out today is the latest from folk songwriter Madi Diaz. Yesterday, we shared an exclusive track by track breakdown of the new Jesse Ruben album, and get to share that album in our playlist today. Joker’s Republic have been constantly impressing with their brand of ska/punk, so happy to include their new album. And high off their song being the theme music for Peacemaker season 2, Foxy Shazam have their latest album of high energy, bombastic rock n’ roll out.
Perfectly timed with their show in Los Angeles tonight (which I’ll be at), The Format announced their first album in 20 years (due out on my birthday next year), and shared its first single this week. Saiphon are quickly becoming one of my new favorite rock n’ roll bands, as they shared another top-notch single this week. Folk rockers Langhorne Slim and The Mountain Goats have both shared two new songs with the world this week, and we also have a two-fer from Spanish Love Songs. Jay Som is back with a Hayley Williams-assisted new song, as is David Byrne, while Haim have brought Bon Iver in for a new collaboration.
Joyce Manor have the second single out from their upcoming new album, while Alemeda is given an assist by new star Doecchi on her new jam. Brandi Carlisle‘s second single from her next album is a folk beauty, while Lucius continue to drop new singles following their recent album. Dessa is back with a new banger, while legends Cheap Trick remind people why they’ve been around for fifty years with their latest track. Black Thought and Danger Mouse have revived their collaboration, and brought Rag’n’Bone Man along for the first single, and this one will pair well with the new single from Gorillaz.
We’re also welcoming back Joe Hicks, Richard Ashcroft, Abi Carter, Daisy Veacock, Her Leather Jacket, Breakup Shoes, Carmen Toth, Eric Barlow, Banquets, Wilby, Elle Belle, The Vices, Sadie Jean, Jake & Shelby, Audiogust, Q052, Portland, Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir, 84 Tigers, Hail the Sun, Revis, Richie Owens, Pete Muller, MORGXN, Forrest Day, Katie Pruitt, Of Monsters and Men, Armor for Sleep, Maisie Peters, Oso Oso, Chief State, Boy Detective, Bicycle Inn, The Anti Groupies & Megg.
Picked as our new voices for the week on the list are Joe Caruso, Last Relapse, Hiron, Yves Jarvis, SickRichard, Alex Cano, Bau Cat, Bella Galasso, Dirt Road Souls, Fountain Island, Corin Ashley, JVK and These New South Whales.
