Banger of the Week: Blind Accuracy – Three Weeks Sober

Blind Accuracy hit their musical mark well. The punk rock band from Harrisburg, PA take inspiration musically from East Bay punk and 80s/90s ska punk, and lyrically draw from personal stories. Like alcoholism. While the writer of the song is now “1 year and 7 months” sober or so, his time abusing the drink was still prime territory to draw from for the group’s latest single.

“One week sober. Two weeks sober. Three weeks sober. Start over.” It’s a simple chorus but one that comes at you with a roar and massive riffs. It’s where this song really gets heavy, in between ska rhythms and a rollicking fast ending. It’s a punchy track that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
