New Music Friday: July 10, 2026

For all of you in the U.S., I hope you had a great and safe celebration of 250 years of America. We’re back with another STACKED New Music Friday.

Kicking things off are some legendary rock n’ rollers – The Rolling Stones and Jack White. Both have new albums out today that you must hear. We have the major label debut of alt pop maven Suki Waterhouse, and the return of Australian indie stars The Temper Trap. Finally, we also have another four-song EP from The King Blues (they just keep coming).

Four other beloved rock bands shared new singles this week: U2, with the first single from their new, as-yet-to-be-titled full-length, Green Day with an original song from their movie Nimrods, Alabama Shakes with the third song from their first new album in over ten years, and Cage the Elephant are back with a brand new single for the summer. Two other early 00’s groups are returning this week after a long time away: alternative hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes, and pop-rockers The Calling. Role Model is bringing some ‘Joy’ with his new single, and Andy Grammer has returned with two triumphant new songs.

Classic songwriter Robyn Hitchcock‘s latest is a feel-good jam, and new-school pop-bunkers The Linda Lindas have gotten their friend and mentor Hayley Williams on their latest single. There’s some meta folk rock from The Mountain Goats, and indie post-punk from Interpol. Say Anything and Wavves announced a collaborative album and dropped the first single, and The Iron Roses have dropped their third single of the year, and it’s the best one yet. The Last Dinner Party have dropped the final new song for the deluxe edition of their latest album, and Michael Marcagi has recruited Chance Pena and The Head and the Heart for a new collab.

Also returning to the list this week are 3 Dollars, lolitslea, Little Image, Ryman, The Haunt, V Torres, Stay Out, Imogen Clark, Among Legends, Ezra Collective, Tres Kings, sundayclub, Lucy Frost, Public Opinion, Cinema Stare, Citizen, Dumb Crush, Mayday Parade, Maris, DD Island, Hermanos Gutiérrez, Kiki Holli + Remedy, Theo Bleak, Kye Alfred Hillig, Deardarkhead, Sunwheel, SusAF, Tim Montana, Cody Simpson, Leisure Hour, Wet Leg, A-100s, Fuel, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Trever M.
