New Music Friday: September 18, 2026

Are you getting that ‘fall feeling’ yet? As the weather is cooling down (or at least SHOULD be – thanks climate change), and leaves are turning brown, we’ve got some new albums that should help take you into the vibes of the new season. Beck is back in folk/acoustic territory with his latest album. Beabadoobee‘s new one is filled with plenty of kiss-off rock and shoegazey-feeling to match that post-summer dip, while OneLineDrawing‘s pulses with emotional energy and soaring hooks. Post Sex Nachos latest will keep you from feeling too down with their spirited pop rock (read our review of their new album here), and Eyre Llew‘s atmospheric, almost-spiritual orchestrations will capture the visceral quality of the Autumn winds blowing leaves off the trees (read our review of it here). There’s also a mixtape EP collab from Treaty Oak Revival & Austin Meade out today.

The amazing Editors are back with another new track, and Lifehouse‘s Jason Wade is keeping his solo journey going with a great new song. Wavves is pushing forward after some recent setbacks with his new album, dropping a new single, and Stephen Wilson Jr. has a stunning new track commemorating the third anniversary of his debut. Less Than Jake are keeping us skanking, and Andy Grammer‘s new pop rock track will put you in good spirits. Jamie T‘s second single from his next album graced us, as has a the great Sheryl Crow. Aesop Rock dropped the first song of his new collaboration with Blockhead, and Tash Sultana turned hardship into music on her latest cut.

In honor of their tour together, Rise Against and Alkaline Trio have covered each other’s songs, and we’ve got both covers here. Hiss Golden Messenger has a new collab with the great Bruce Hornsby, and indie rockers Reddy Hollow dropped a new bop. And for all of us classic rock fans, a previously unheard and unreleased track from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers was released this week as part of an upcoming boxed set of 70’s rarities. There’s two new tracks from David Byrne, and a collab between Yellowcard and Steve Aoki!

We’ve also got a ton of new tracks from artists we’ve featured before; Gayle, Moody Joody, Los Coast, Fulton Lights, Iris King, Tony DV, Playing Dead, The Goods, Doom Scroll, Fish Narc, E. Lundquist and Michael Damani, Hound, Aubory Bugg, lolitslea, Foot Ox, Massive Nightmares, Anxious, Sidecar, Maris, Cartel, Grace Elizabeth Harvey, NP York, MX Lonely, Classic Traffic, zeronic, Imperial Teen, Anna Shoemaker, Catie Turner, Zuli Jr., Harley, Kevin Morby, Suntwist, Ash, Baxter Hall, Aimée Fatale, Soccer Mommy, Baby Snakes & The Electric Co., Weatherell, Andy Gruhin, The Albert Square, Keegan Powell, The Falls, Alaina May, Greta Van Fleet, The Bends, Matt Berninger, Stephen Marley, Echo & the Bunnymen, Anderson .Paak, Rhett Miller and Phantom Planet.
