Back in 2005, alternative rockers Louis XIV found themselves getting massive airplay with their snarling single “Finding Out True Love is Blind”. Earlier this year, they came back with a thumping, 70’s-style rocker called “Playtime”, and put together an incredibly amusing video to go with it.
Created using cut-paper animation in the vein of Monty Python, the video shows ducks drinking, giant hammer battles, Victorian-era ships at sea, and a heap of other glorious madness. Fitting perfectly with the track’s vibe, it’s an endlessly watchable video chock full of little details that deserve repeat viewings.
