New Music Friday

It’s a Friday 4/20 – you all know what that means. After getting a slight break last week, this week there is an overflow of new albums; folk band Lord Huron, bluegrass group Old Crow Medicine Show, old school punks Pennywise, upcoming soul troubadour Charley Crockett, the reggae-lite collaboration between Sting & Shaggy, and days after reviewing the EP, the full release by Billie Joe Armstrong side-project The Longshot.

The influx of new songs is also impressive. Pete Yorn has brought back his collaboration with Scarlett Johansson; Brian Fallon has covered Marshmello; Lykke Li and Father John Misty have both released two new singles; and I have found the first A Perfect Circle song I’ve ever liked (and I really like it) – the epic yet wistful Bowie-esque “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish”.

An in honor of the holiday, Jack Johnson released a new song about getting stoned with Willie Nelson (who also released a new song today!)

Listen well friends!
