New Music Friday – August 10, 2018

Friday returns, and it brings us a new album from Lit. Best known as the crunchy alt. rock band behind “Miserable” and “My Own Worst Enemy”, the group has gone in a country-ish direction I’m admittedly still skeptical about. But, I will give it a shot, because¬†A Place in the Sun has a special place in my heart. I’ll also sample the new album from Americana group Cordovas.

In songs, the trio of Labrinth, Sia and Diplo (LSD) have finally released a single I’m digging. We have two new songs from Bedouin Soundclash that are mash-ups with hardcore legends¬†Bad Brains tracks, Pete Yorn¬†covering the Pixies with Liz Phair, and then we get some new songs from Minnesota rapper Atmosphere, macabre punks Alkaline Trio, folks blues singer/songwriter Elle King, country rocker Ruston Kelly, and Toto‘s cover of Weezer‘s “Hash Pipe”.

Enjoy them all below.
