Upbeat jangle guitars and harmonies never go out of style, and there are thankfully still bands like Washington D.C.’s Dot Dash keeping the sound alive and lively. Reminiscent of early R.E.M., Tommy Keene and Gin Blossoms, the group has released 6 albums to date, with their latest, Proto Retro, coming out last year.
First single “Unfair Weather” is an energetic singalong about American Anglophiles. And it’s a damn fun piece of pop rock joy.
