Albums are starting to pour down on us as January gets underway. Two highly buzzed-about artists, Maggie Rogers and Alice Merton, both drop their debut albums today. Along with them, we get the latest album from indie darling Sharon Van Etten. Mike Posner‘s transition from pop to more acoustic alternative music arrives with his latest album, and hard rockers Papa Roach are back to reclaim their glory. Also take a listen to guitarist Steve Gunn’s latest collection of eclectic folk rock.

In singles, the best new drop this week is the politically-charged gospel rock from The Killers. Also not to overlook is a new single from The Cranberries, the first taste of their forthcoming album, and the last to feature vocals from late front woman Dolores O’Riordan. There’s a new single from Karen O‘s new project with Danger Mouse, as well as tracks from Glen Hansard, Strand of Oaks, Yungblud, Jade Bird and many more.

Check them out below, or follow the Mix of the Moment playlist.
