New Music Friday Playlist – February 22, 2019
Happy Friday everyone. This week is light on albums and heavy on singles. Here are some of the things we’ll be spinning this next week.
Gary Clark Jr. has released This Land, which he’s promising will be the album he’s been destined to make, so I think it’s only fair you all give it a chance. There’s also a new EP from Darlingside, the folk group whose album made our Top 10 of 2018.
In singles, you can satisfy your pop rock fix with new ones from Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas and John Mayer. There’s some great new alternative/punk tracks from Alex Lahey, Weezer, Simple Creatures and Bad Suns. Classic alternative rockers Teenage Fanclub are also back with a new single, as is soul band Vintage Trouble.
You’ll also find some unexpected duets; first Judah & the Lion teaming with Grammy-winner Kacey Musgraves, and British rocker James Bay with budding pop star Julia Michaels. And speaking of pop, P!nk has just released a new single, as has Bruno Major.
All these and more below, or on our New Music Friday Playlist above!
