If you’re not familiar yet with recent Grammy-winning rising reggae star Koffee, then you should jump on the bandwagon now as she’s possibly one of the Next Big Things worldwide. This twenty year old reggae singer, songwriter, rapper, deejay and guitarist from Spanish Town, Jamaica broke onto the scene with her single “Burning” in 2017, and in 2019 released the stand-out Rapture EP, containing the streaming hits “Toast” and “Rapture”.
Listening to these tracks, it’s not hard to see why the young musician is garnering fans across the musical spectrum. Her songs draw from traditional reggae and dancehall sounds, but with sharp hip-hop production. And much like the legend of reggae, Bob Marley, Koffee carries a voice that carries a resonance that make her tracks sound timeless.
Following her win for Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammys, Koffee signed with RCA Records, laying down the groundwork for her music to continue its global growth.
