After years in the music industry – from touring with Ani DiFranco, to having hit songs featured on television shows such as Oprah’s Big Give and Charmed – Andy Stochansky is no stranger to having a hit on his hands. His newest album, Debut, by his new project, White Elephant Orchestra, is completely written and self produced by the artist. He dubs it as “the best [he’s] got” stating, “I think it’s the first time I’ve made a record where I don’t know how to make it any better.” Being in charge of the writing, recording, producing, and engineering gave him the true freedom to follow through with his vision authentically.
The full album hasn’t been released yet, but his latest single, “Rocket Ship”, just dropped recently. With a theme of being able to escape, even if just for a little while, “Rocket Ship” has a fun vibe with hints of a reggae beat behind fun synth and backing vocals. The song is meant to take us away from the current stresses that so many of us endure in modern life, and the song definitely delivers a fun feeling of escape – even if just for a few minutes. 
“Rocket Ship'” is a reminder that you are not alone and that we are all enduring tough times right now. – Andy Stochansky
