After 35 years, this week we have been granted a new album by seminal Los Angeles punk band X! This is a good day for legendary bands, because along with them, we get the new album from Lucinda Williams and tracks from The Rolling Stones, The Psychedelic Furs and L7. If you like your classics, you’ll enjoy this New Music Friday!
Of course there’s more. For fans of pop punk and emo, you can enjoy the latest album from The Used and the second Petals for Armor EP from Hayley Williams. You’ll probably also enjoy the new songs by Car Seat Headrest, Yungblud and The 1975.
If you’re into folk/singer-songwriter style music, Billy Raffoul‘s new album may be for you, along with new tracks from Jake Bugg, Jackson Browne an Jason Isbell (look at all those J’s). For rap and R&B fans, try out the new single from Alicia Keys or the new collaborative single from Travis Scott and Kid Cudi.
Some other notable new songs are coming in from The Killers, Avril Lavigne, The Naked and Famous, and Michael Franti.
As of right now, the new X album is only available on their bandcamp page. You can hear all the other new tunes in our New Music Friday Playlist below:
