While fans of British pop rock group The 1975 are going to have to wait longer for the group’s next album, a number of very prominent female artists have started a cover series of songs by the band.
Up-and-coming indie pop singer Clairo covered the song “Robbers”, Pale Waves covered “Sex” and Gracie Abrams covered the group’s hit “Somebody Else”. One of the stand-outs of the series has been from recent 1975 collaborator Phoebe Bridgers, who turned in a beautiful, stripped-down version of the usually bouncy track “Girls”.
