Any Friday where we can get a new album from Bruce Springsteen and his incomparable E Street Band is a good Friday. And if that wasn’t enough, we also get new albums from excellent singer-songwriters like The Mountain Coats and Northcote (who does a solid cover of Springsteen’s “Radio Nowhere”). And while not officially considered a new album, animated group Gorillaz have dropped their full Song Machine volume 1 sessions, filled with interesting collaborations. There’s also some EPs from Dave Hause and Dispatch worth your time.
While those albums will take up a good chunk of listening time, don’t miss out on hearing new singles from acts like Lucero (a personal favorite), Julien Baker, Valencia, Ludo or Less Than Jake. If you’re a blink-182 fan, be sure to hear Travis Barker‘s work on the latest single from Australian alt pop artist Amy Shark, and Angels & Airwaves collaboration with Illenium.
There’s also the latest single from Baby FuzZ, whose previous single “Weekend Blues” was a favorite earlier this year. We’ll also check out new songs from up-and-comers Never Loved and Lydia Luce.
