What happens when three friends and bandmates from Albany, NY move in together in a house in Philadelphia? Apparently, good things! Michael Doherty, Nick Sebastiano, and Alenni Davis are the trio that is the up and coming band, Another Michael. They recently announced the release of their debut full-length album, New Music and Big Pop, due out February 19th. Leading up to the release of the album, they’ve dropped a couple of singles – most recently, “I Know You’re Wrong.”
I don’t know how to best describe this song other than that it sounds like something you’d hear on the latest trendy Indie Film – you know, the kind where you are grabbing your phone to use Shazam, or making sure to check the music credits at the end, because you are really digging the soundtrack? I’m thinking something along the lines of a Zach Braff film. That is the vibe I get from this song, and that isn’t a bad thing (says the girl who ran out to buy the album for Garden State).
The catchy guitar riff brings you in at the song’s start, and the creamy vocals of Doherty keep you floating. I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the album when it releases, as I am getting a really fun vibe from this band.
