New Music Friday – February 12, 2021

We have some interesting releases today for this New Music Friday. First, we have the latest album from indie rock stalwarts Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. It’s been a while since this group has released any new tunes, but they haven’t lost a step if the tracks already out can be trusted. Another indie rock group who have earned their cred are Run River North, and they have their latest album out today.

Next up, Mod Sun has taken the plunge into the rock and pop punk world that his buddy Machine Gun Kelly recently took with much success. Including the early released tracks “Bones” and the Avril Lavigne-featured “Flames”, the album could potentially be huge, so keep an eye on this one. Another potential break-out artist for 2021 is British alt. pop rockers Pale Waves, who have been dropping one great single after another. We’ll also enjoy the new album from punks Teenage Wrist and an EP from former World Watch artist Marcelo Deiss.

Plenty of new singles are also out today that you should certainly check out. There’s some strong fem-power this Friday, with new songs from pop punkers Potty Mouth, pop wunderkind Ashe, and alt. rock legend Liz Phair. There’s also female-fronted Middle Kids coming out with the third single from their next album. And if you need to rock a bit harder, check out the new ones from Greta Van Fleet and Kings of Leon.

Some artists we’ve covered before an love who also have new songs out today are The Fratellis, Skizzy Mars, Alex Lahey, Yelawolf and the Peach Tree Rascals. Some of the newer acts we’ll be checking out this week are rockers Youth Fountain, Band of Silver, Claud and Mammoth WVH.

Hear all these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist!
