May good music come your way this first Friday of May! The 90’s kid in me is crazy excited for the latest Mighty Mighty Bosstones album, and equally stoked to hear Weezer‘s new album that promises big rock guitars. Cold Moon have won me over with their pre-released singles, so their album may solidify them as one of my favorite finds of 2021. Ashe has been proving herself a pop force with all her singles, so her new album could elevate her into the stratosphere. Then we’ll hear the latest full album from a true rapper’s rapper, McKinley Dixon.
Modest Mouse are back in a big way with their latest single and album announcement. Kennyhoopla, following the success of his Travis Barker-assisted “Estella” has worked with the prolific drummer/producer again on his latest single. Speaking of Barker, he found some time to work with Bebe Rexha too on a new track. Some more rocking songs this week are coming in from Andrew WK, Wavves, Rise Against, The Black Keys and Descendents.
If you want something a little more chill, new tracks from Coldplay, Ziggy Marley, Kenny Chesney, Tai Verdes and P!nk may fit your bill. If you need some folk or Americana, there are tracks from Iron & Wine, Jake Bugg, Donovan Woods and American Aquarium for you. We’ve also got some new ones from recent artists we’ve highlighted here like Ski Lift and Amythyst Kiah.
Some of the newer artists we’ll be spinning today are Calling All Captains, Written by Wolves, Maisie Peters, We Are the Union and Concrete Castles.
Take a listen to all of these tracks and more in our New Music Friday Playlist!
