This week is PACKED with new music to be excited for – who knows when you’ll find the time to listen to all of it, but you should definitely MAKE the time.
Lord Huron and Twenty One Pilots really need no introduction, but you will certainly want to give their new albums a couple streams. If you love soul and blues, then the new Robert Finley album is for you (check out our review of it here). Mdou Moctor is an incredible Saharan artist who will certain pique your interest with his sound, and Gruff Rhys‘ unique blend of indie alternative always stands out. Then there are the up-and-comers Tai Verdes and Waterparks with their new albums!
In EPs, we get the long-awaited return of the Counting Crows (which I’ve been very excited about). There’s also the complete EP from rockers Charming Liars which we’re enjoying.
Oh man, the singles out this week! New ones from Green Day, Bleachers, Lana Del Rey, Lucy Dacus, Vance Joy, The Wallflowers and 88Rising will be in tons of playlists and should be in yours. We’re also excited by the return of soul rocker Curtis Harding, and a new one from songwriter Joshua Radin. If you love 60’s music, we’ve got a new song from David Crosby (featuring Michael McDonald), if you dig 70’s music, there’s a new track from the great Jackson Browne out today, and if you like 80’s music, then today is your lucky day – Duran Duran have dropped their first new single in many years!
Some of the new artists we’ll be checking out this week are Dead Eyes, Summer Salt, Playing Dead, The Crew and Kelsey Kindall.
Hear all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist!
