New Music Friday: June 18, 2020

Hoping you are all holding up well in the summer heat! This Friday is bringing us some perfect new albums to help you through it. Our personal recommendation – start your day with the glowing indie pop of Kings of Convenience, let Rebelution put a kick in your step during the afternoon, put on Bad Ass Break-Out artists Amythyst Kiah and Moni Grace‘s new ones as you wind down for dinner, and then kick things up ten notches with the debut EP from Los Angeles rock n’ rollers Near Beer, the latest from De’Wayne and Arizona punks Authority Zero! And if that high energy music gets you too riled to sleep, go with the new album from Benjamin Francis Leftwich to ease yourself into the final moments of the evening.

And of course, there are plenty of new songs out this week that should also soundtrack your weekend. One of my favorites is the latest from Australian band Gang of Youths, which has a rollicking, Springsteenian momentum to it. Speaking of Bruce Springsteen, he guests on new track from Las Vegas rockers The Killers that came out this week. Angels & Airwaves announced their new album with the drop of a new track, and Dessa completed her Ides EP this week with another new track.

Some other indie favorites with new tracks out this week are The Go! Team, Travie McCoy, Meet Me @ The Altar, Ski Lift and Justin Courtney Pierre. And of course, to give some attention to new acts, we’ve got the latest singles from Young Culture, Parks N’ Rec and Haroula Rose.

Start listening to all these new tunes in our New Music Friday Playlist!
