July is ending with a plethora of great new album and song releases from some artists we love. First is the new one from the multi-talented Jack Antonoff’s solo project Bleachers. The singles for this album have been fantastic so expectations for this one are HIGH. Next is the latest from Yola, whose mesh of soul, folk, Americana and dance music sounds like no one else out there right now. There’s some more folky goodness from Brett Dennen and Grizfolk that should both be enjoyable. Finally, we are getting a previously unreleased album from Prince, and the new album from alt. popper Jelani Aryeh! I also shouldn’t forget the new EP from pop-punk group Young Culture, who have been quickly growing on us.
The last artist I saw live before the pandemic hit was Dave Hause, and I’m excited for his latest single out today. Canadian rockers The Glorious Sons have a hard-hitting new one, as do 90’s greats Third Eye Blind. All Time Low got the great UK band Pale Waves to guest on their latest hit, and The Knocks got help from both Rivers Cuomo and Royal & Serpent for their new one! Also have to continue the love for up-and-coming pop-punkers Meet Me @ the Altar, who have another new track out.
Though we’ve been long-time Doomtree fans, we’ve never featured a solo track from their lead producer Lazerbeak until today! Speaking of “doom”, there’s another new single out from Dooms Children which we are stoked for. Some of the other new acts we’re spinning this week are Boy Scouts, Modern Error, Mini Trees, Taryn, Fuzzle and Betty Reed.
