New Music Friday – October 15, 2021

We are heavy with Fall releases today; some big and some lesser knowns, but all worthy of your listening time! The album out today you’ll likely hear the most about is the new one from Coldplay, featuring their #1 collaboration with K-pop band BTS. The legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has his latest out, featuring a new collaboration with Rob Thomas. Rock guitarist Tom Morello has his latest Atlas Underground collection out, and English band Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes are hoping to catch some ears on this side of the pond. Finally, alt pop artist Remi Wolf has her first official full length album out.

The speculation is over – Adele has finally dropped her first new song in five years. Also returning after a five year break are Band of Horses. Michael Kiwanuka has released two new songs, and we’ve got the first taste of the collaboration between Hamilton Leithauser and Kevin Morby. Pennywise frontman Jim Lindberg has dropped his second solo single, and we’ve got some great new ones from beloved songwriters like Jeff Tweedy, Hayes Carll and Tori Amos.

Some other familiar names with new music out today; Damon Albarn, The Lumineers, Dion, They Might Be Giants!, Brian Fallon and Snail Mail. And because new talent deserves a chance to be discovered, we’re spinning new songs from Kurt Baker, Ryan Hamilton, The Kundalini Genie, John Sierra, Dan Vapid & The Cheats, Laura Dreyfuss, Bambara, Teddy Grossman and Springtime.

Hear all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist!
