New Music Friday – March 4, 2022

Let’s March into this week’s new releases! After some delays, we’re finally getting the new one from folk/indie rockers Band of Horses. If you’re up for some Britpop type music, you should be listening to the latest from Stereophonics. And if you want a modern throwback to classic soul and R&B, you’ll love the latest album from The Dip (read our review of it here).

After announcing his signing to 4AD records, Bartees Strange dropped another great single, continuing his ascendance towards indie rock royalty. Haim released a new tune, and Papa Roach and Pup continue to build to their new LPs with new singles. Alt-rock legends Pixies are back with a new single, and Jack White has dropped two new songs (one a gloriously weird one with Q-Tip). There’s a second new song from the upcoming Red Hot Chili Peppers album, and new indie pop goodness from Ashe, ALICE MERTON, Wallows and Dominic Fike. Former Bangers of the Week Oxymorrons are back, and we’re testing out the latest from dancehall star Popcaan.

The creators of our favorite album from last year, Arkells, have a new single for us, and we’ve got some sick new ones from Lucius and Stand Atlantic as well. Some returning champions to the playlist are Local Nomads, Young Guv, Missio, Kevin Corby, Mallrat, Bruce Lee Band, Alexx Bean and The Linda Lindas.

And as always, we want to introduce you to some new names every week. This week, listen to songs from Spectre Jones, Lorne, Boyu, Justin Golden, Michael Beharie, Joey Harkum, Friendmaker, Xander and the Peace Pirates, Proxy and MattstaGraham.

Start listening to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
