New Music Friday: June 3, 2022

June is starting strong on this New Music Friday! LA underground country-punk rockers Manhattan Murder Mystery have dropped their latest album (with its awesome cover art). Alt. country rockers Drive-By Truckers‘ new one should continue their streak of excellence, and we’ll be spinning the new one from classic-inspired rockers The Sheepdogs for some good vibes. Dear Spring have also released their EP, for some good ol’ throwback emo-core/pop-punk.

It’s also been a huge week for new singles in the alternative music space! Panic! At the Disco are back with their first brand new one since conquering the world with “High Hopes” some years ago. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs got Perfume Genius to join them for their great new single, and Muse copped a bit of “Summertime Blues” for their new revolution anthem. And then Phoenix have returned with a new indie bop.

The creators of our Top Album of 2019, Bedouin Soundclash, are back with two new singles perfect for summer. Maggie Rogers also has a new pop jam out that will kill at festivals, and Stroke 9‘s new one deserves to get them back playing fests. Sunliner continue to kill it with their new songs, and if you dig them, be sure to check out the latest from Pollyanna and Bonsai Tree!

Artists getting their first plays in our NMF playlist this week are Nick Black, Golden Vultures, Timeshares, Gone Stereo, Snailmate, Mariel Buckley, Alicia Blue, Carol Ades, Ash Gordon, Oakrest and Ada Marques.

Listen to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
