We hope you are having a great start to your summer! We’ve got some albums that will certainly enhance your summer goings-ons. Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy and English singer George Ezra‘s latest are perfect sunshine music, as is the new one from recent Check This indie pop band Q-Tip Bandits. If you want something with a bit more grit and rust, the new American Aquarium album will start a fire for ya. And we can definitely say the new one from Joyce Manor will be worth your time (see our review here to know why). Pair that one with the new EP from Magnolia Park, and you’ve got yourself a whole mess of pop-punk goodness.

A collaborative single between emo rock stars Taking Back Sunday and DJ Steve Aoki would have seen crazy twenty years ago, but it fits in with the culture perfectly today. It’s a big day for “scene bands”, as there are new singles from Jimmy Eat World, Rise Against, Mod Sun, Flogging Molly and Pale Waves, all of whom have their own unique spin on punk/pop-punk/alternative music.
Though they’ve already released full albums this year, Jack White and Belle & Sebastian are still releasing new singles for more future releases, while G. Love continues to preview his next album with a third single from it. There’s a new banger from Iann Dior, and more indie pop goodness from Daisy the Great and Inhaler. Speaking of great, the famed Pixies are back with a new one, as are the awesome Editors. And if just not to sit idle, All Time Low have dropped a pretty faithful cover of The Weeknd‘s “Blinding Lights”.
Making their first appearances in our NMF playlist this week are Pianos Become the Teeth, Kat Hamilton, Tessa Kaye, YDE, SHIIVA, Chaos Emeralds, Coldrain and Daulton Hopkins x Victoria Bigelow.
