As we enter September on the even of Labor Day weekend, it’s a lighter release schedule for albums, but there are stilly plenty of new songs teasing great things to come in the coming months.

One highly anticipated album that is finally here is the latest from British nu-punk Yungblud. There’s been some great singles, so excited for this one. Mongolian folk-metal band The Hu broke out big with their last album, and they have their follow-up out today! We’re also going to give some spins to the latest from Polish pop-punk band CF98. Finally, emo veterans Hidden in Plain View have dropped their full new EP.
This week, we finally got the first taste of the Arctic Monkeys‘ new album, and it highlights their continued evolution away from the garage rock they started out with. King of collaborations Gorillaz are back with a new one featuring Tame Impala, and proving themselves also great collaborators, Arkells have got Tegan and Sara on their latest track. Another awesome collab is between Vieux Farka Toure and Khruangbin, out with the second song from their coming EP. Punk/Rap/alternative upstart De’Wayne has enlisted Good Charlotte on his new jam, and emo pop band The Summer Set have enlisted Travie McCoy!
It’s been a while since we’ve got new music from Deer Tick, so happy to have their latest. 80’s pop rock legends A-ha have a new single out, and pop-leaning punks The Wonder Years and Alex Lahey have more new music for us. There’s also great new ones from Rocky Votolato, Beatenberg, Nervous Eaters, Swim Deep and Starcrawler!
Artists getting their first spins on our list this week are Forrest Isn’t Dead, Tripping Jupiter, Elk City, Conner Cherland, Sunsleeper and Matthew Check.
