It feels sadly fitting that in these scorching heats, we get a new album from The Afghan Whigs entitled How Do You Burn. At least this album burns in the best way – with blistering rock n’ roll. Equally rocking is the new one from the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne. More eclectic will be the new one from Santigold, and if you want to get hopping, the Celtic punk of Flogging Molly is sure to oblige. Finally, there is the moving folk sounds of Rocky Votolato‘s latest album to enjoy.
After releasing a great album last year, Sea Girls are already back with new music. Singer-Songwriter Ryan Cabrera has been gone a moment, but returns with his new romantic ballad, while Phoenix sound revived on their latest indie rock treat. Pixies, Charlotte Sands, Anti-Flag and The Abruptors all continue to build up to the releases of their albums, and we’ve got artists like Izzy Oram Brown, Chico Romano, Goldpark, Goodnight Sunrise and Cherie Amour all making returns to the list with their new material.
Artists added for the first time to our NMF Playlist this week are Jobber, Eliza Edens, Derrero, Vilivant, Melissa Carper, Running Violet, The Welcome Wagon, Kaya Stewart, Somebody’s Child and Luke Warm and the Cold Ones.
Listen to all of these and more in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
