New Music Friday: October 14, 2022

2022 continues to swarm us with amazing music drops, and this week is no different. After a nine year break, we are getting our second Red Hot Chili Peppers album of 2022! And while they haven’t been gone nearly as long, the new album from The 1975 will certainly be welcome. Alt pop maven Ashe is back with her latest full-length, and if you don’t know Cory Branan‘s music, you should start by listening to his new album. There’s high-octane power pop from Sweet Teeth, and we also have a new EP from Ella Ruby.

It was rumored, they teased it, and now it’s confirmed – Tom Delonge is back in blink-182, and they have their first new single from their next album out today! If that isn’t enough excitement, a long-lost Queen track, featuring vocals by Freddie Mercury, has just been released. Of course there’s more. Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness have the second single from their new album out (which I saw him play live for the first time this last Wednesday), and girl in red has a brand new October song for ya’ll.

We are always happy to feature the latest from Imogen Clark, and Oh! The Humanity have brought us their first new music since they were one of our Bangers. Local Natives are always ripe for indie goodness, and Story of the Year are bringing all the When We Were Young vibes. We’ve also got returns from The Wombats, Rose’s Pawn Shop, Runnner, Lowlife, Doki Doki, Glen Philips, Zebrahead, Hamish Anderson and Soraia.

Artists gracing our playlist for the first time this week are Neriah, Skidders, Alien Tango, Adeem the Artist, Arm’s Length, The Stone Foxes and Castle Frank.

Dig in to all these new tunes in our New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify or Apple Music!
