It’s Good Friday in more ways than one today, as we’ve got some very good music to share with you.
“Dirt Emo” troubadour Ruston Kelly is back with his fourth album of pop-punk-influenced Americana, that based on the first songs released, will be inspiring, moving and even a little goofy. We have new folk punk from Beyond the Lamplight, some melodic rock from Welshly Arms, and the third album from Bad Ass Break-Outs Güero.
Pioneering Zambian rock band Witch are back with their first new music in THIRTY NINE YEARS. Welcome back Witch! Ben Harper is previewing his next album with a Jack Johnson-assisted new track, and we have more of Darlingside‘s beautiful folk harmonies. Lucinda Williams enlisted Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa for her new single, and Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes is venturing into new sounding realms on his latest effort.
60’s-influenced Mazey Haze has dropped another psychedelic track, and Blondshell‘s latest is a dark indie rocker. Hotel Mira are looking to get us dancing on their latest romp, while Peter Gabriel can always make us think with his new tunes. Other artists making their way back to the list this week are Anna Rose, Nanna, Buckcherry, Withered Hand, MC Lars and Greta Van Fleet.
Some of the artists you get to discover on our playlist for the first time this week are Holy Wave, Devon Thompson, Roger Bekono, William the Conqueror, Tom Emlyn, Jason Kent, Austin Gilliam, Big Loser, Jive Talk, Lunatic High, Lip Filler, Sam Zalta and Live Skull.
