Jeppe Kiel Revsbech, better known as Rosenthal, is preparing for the release of his debut album Luna on May 22nd, an engaging record blending psychedelia and dream-pop that is like a kaleidoscope of musical sounds. Building anticipation for the album, Rosenthal is releasing the album’s next single “A Dream”, and I’m excited to premiere the song here prior to its wide release on May 8th.
Jeppe has said about the song:
“A Dream” is my attempt to write a song of comfort and optimism for myself. It’s about envisioning a bright future despite anxiety and inner chaos. Musically, I wanted to play with sharp dynamics, shifting between heavy, guitar-driven verses and a soft, intimate chorus. The song came together very quickly and intuitively, which I feel gives it a certain flow and lightness that I really like.”
The track is accompanied by a video directed by Yamit Rosenbach and Sara Bogh, in this mixed media film combining photography, film and textures to represent the raw material and abstract impressions of life in the hues and tones of the track.
