Premiere: Ryan Burns – Let it Out Again

Chicago’s Ryan Burns writes the kind of indie folk/Americana music that would easily appeal to fans of groups like Wilco, so it seems appropriate that his new single “Let it Out Again” was produced by Jake Hawrylak, who had previously produced music from members of Wilco, along with Fleet Foxes and other similar acts.

Hailing from his next album Just Keep Growing, the track is an acoustic gem with a folksy sound on top of a delicious groove, capped off by a powerful, emotional chorus. About the song, Burns has said:

“I wrote this song in the first winter of lockdown, January 2021. The snow was piling up and my world felt very small. I was longing to walk the streets and alleys, see the Chicago common brick, spend time with friends in person. The whole song emerged at once, as some songs do, and remains mostly unchanged from that first version I wrote.”

Certainly a feeling we can all relate to from that dark period a few years back. The song comes out everywhere tomorrow, July 31st, but today you can get an exclusive early listen to it below!
