The song sounds like a lost Genesis or Phil Collins single; bright, joyful and exuberant, with Chance the Rapper bringing in some bluesy vocals that mesh perfectly with the song.
It’s pop by way of the 80’s, which make the on-the-nose lyrics easily digestible.
