There’s very little any of us can say about Aretha Franklin that won’t be repeated in a million obituaries and tributes in the coming days. Her music was prevalent and part of our lives. Her cover of Otis Redding‘s “Respect” was the ultimate version of that track, and her own self-penned songs like “Think” has been a part of our culture’s soundtrack for generations.
