Happy Black Friday! Those of you who will be venturing out to actually shop in brick and mortar stores, I wish you good luck. We here at the Indy Review will be staying far away, and enjoying some new tunes.
The day after Thanksgiving is generally light on non-holiday new releases, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We can spend more time diving into the new album from talented songwriter Stephen Kellogg (writer of one of my favorite Thanksgiving songs) who has a new solo album out. There’s also an EP of new songs from indie-poppers Lake Street Dive, and an acoustic EP from Stephen Marley.
In new songs, there are some great tracks worth your time. Swedish punks Millencolin have their first new song out in years, as do emo-punks Taking Back Sunday. South African group Beatenberg have released another new song from their 2019 release, as have Weezer. There’s a new track from British rapper The Streets, and a new jam from alt-pop princess Billie Eilish.
