Just a couple more weeks of 2018. While we’re compiling our EOY Lists, we’ll still do our best to present to you some of the latest releases coming out.
The only new album I’ll be spinning this week is one I’ve been highly anticipating – the latest from South African band Beatenberg. I discovered their last album, The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg, earlier this year, and became an instant fan. Aside from collaborating with Mumford & Sons on their Johannesburg EP, this is the group’s first release in 4 years.
In singles, the Meat Puppets have reunited to release their first single in ages. Pop star Avril Lavigne has put out another single for her long-awaited return to music, and groups Joseph and The Lumineers have put out some festive songs.
Another noteworthy listen this week is the 7 Inches for Planned Parenthood, a two song single that features a collaboration between The National‘s Matt Berninger and Julien Baker. Take a bunch of listens to the songs, as they support a very good cause.
