New Music Friday Playlist – May 17, 2019

So much new music, so little time to listen to all of it! As I write this, I’m taking a first listen to the new album from The National. I’ve been looking forward to the new one from Australian pop punk songstress Alex Lahey, whose singles have blown me away so far. I’ll also be spinning the latest from folk pop group The Head and the Heart, as well as reggae veterans Steel Pulse.

In singles, I recommend you all check out the new tracks from Matthew Ryan (see my review here), as well as the first single from atmospheric indie folk due Catacomb Saints. There are also new songs from a bunch of folks you’re probably a bit more familiar with: Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Iggy Pop, Mavis Staples, Lana Del Rey (covering Sublime), and 90’s rockers Collective Soul.
