New Music Friday – August 9, 2019

strungout

Due to so much going on, there will be no New Music Friday Playlist this week, but you can still preview the best new tunes below. This includes new albums from punks Strung Out, indie god Bon Iver, folk rocker Pete Yorn, reggae rockers Dirty Heads, and young pop-rock upstarts The Regrettes.

Bedouin Soundclash have finally re-released our #8 favorite song of 2018, “Salt Water”. Lana Del Rey has a new song written in response to the tragic shootings in Dayton, OH and El Paso, TX. The rest of the tracks run the spectrum from rap (Snoop Dogg, Yelawolf), soul (Valerie June), Laurel Canyon folk (GospelBeacH), indie (Fink), pop (Keane) and R&B (Mary J. Blige).
